Maths Week 2025 – A Week Full of Fun and Numbers!

What a fantastic week we’ve had celebrating Maths Week in our school! Every class got involved in a variety of fun, hands-on maths activities that really brought numbers to life.

From Maths Trails around the school grounds, to exciting maths games and daily paired challenges, our pupils showed brilliant problem-solving skills and teamwork. Classes also explored Mangahigh, where they tackled interactive maths challenges online — with plenty of friendly competition along the way!

A special highlight of the week was our two big competitions:
🎃 Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin for 1st–6th Classes
🍬 Guess How Many Sweets in the Jar for our Junior and Senior Infants

There was great excitement as the guesses rolled in, and we had some very impressive estimations — with prizes awarded to those who came closest!

Throughout the week, pupils were also encouraged to use their “Maths Eyes” — spotting shapes, patterns, numbers, and measurements in the world around them. Developing Maths Eyes helps children see that maths is everywhere, not just in the classroom! 👀➕

Overall, it’s been a brilliant week celebrating maths in creative and engaging ways. Well done to all the pupils and teachers for their enthusiasm and teamwork. Keep up the great work and remember — Maths is everywhere and can be so much fun when we explore it hands-on! 💡✨

6th Class Leaders 2025- 2026

250

Boys and girls from 6th Class have taken on some very important jobs around the school for the coming year. These jobs include putting up our school flags every morning, collecting hot lunches every evening, organising P.E. equipment for teachers and taking charge of all the school digital equipment-ipads, laptops and chromebooks. Well done to these students on taking on these very important and responsible roles.

Internet Safety Week

This week our school will celebrate Internet Safety Week. Teachers will be discussing online safety and exploring various resources to help students navigate the digital world in a responsibly. We would ask you to check out the below link to learn about ways you can promote safe Internet use at home. Having open conversations with your child about their online activities is also a great way to reinforce positive digital habits.
Thank you for your support.
