Today in 5th class we became scientists with the help of our teacher and two scientists from NUIG.

The scientists from NUIG sent us all the equipment for us to complete the experiment. It is call Fantastic DNA in a box. We extracted DNA from a banana which we get to keep and bring home. We used equipment that scientists would use in a lab. We were fascinated at how we actually got to extract the DNA sample.
