Maths Week in 5th Class!
We had an exciting and busy Maths Week in 5th Class! Every day was packed with fun activities, challenges, and games that helped us explore maths in new and creative ways.
We kicked things off with Tangrams, using shapes to build animals, people, and puzzles. It was a great way to use our problem-solving skills and learn about geometry.
We also worked on Division and Rounding, sharpening our mental maths and practising strategies to make calculations quicker and easier.
During the week, we explored 2D and 3D shapes, identifying their properties and even creating some of our own designs. We also went on a Maths Trail around the school grounds, solving real-life maths problems in teams. It was a great way to see how maths is all around us!
We tackled the Problem of the Week, using logic and teamwork to find solutions. We also used Top Marks and Mangahigh, where we played games and challenged ourselves to earn points and improve our scores.
We ended the week with a spooky twist – our Halloween Maths Assessment! It was a fun way to show everything we had learned over the last few weeks.
Maths Week was a huge success, and we all had a brilliant time learning, thinking, and having fun with numbers!
