Third and Fourth Class trip to see Ireland’s Oldest Watermill.

29th May 2024

We had a most exciting and memorable day last Tuesday when our class went to visit Martry Mill owned and run by the Tallon family. We learned about the machinery, the history of the building, the flour and the area. It is Ireland’s Oldest Working Watermill along the banks of the river Blackwater in Co.Meath. We got to bake delicious loaves of bread with the freshly ground flour.
