St Teresa's National School, Clontumpher

Parents' Association

When your child starts in St Teresa’s National School, you as a parent/guardian automatically become a member of the Parents' Association.

The school’s motto is ‘Ní neart go cur le chéile’, (there’s no strength like when we work together) and within the school the Parents' Association works with the principal and staff to build an effective partnership between home and school.

Some of the activities the Parents' Association are involved in are:

  • Arranging talks on topics of interest for parents.
  • Giving feedback to school management on school policies.
  • Helping with extra-curricular activities.
  • The organisation in conjunction with the school of major school events such as the Christmas concerts.
  • Providing refreshments for parents at school events.

The Parents' Association elects a committee to undertake this role at its annual general meeting.  All parents or guardians of children in the school are welcome to attend this meeting and to get involved in the work of the association.
